We walked to Crantock from Travella Caravan Park ,approx 1.5 miles across a rough (ish) terrain – along the edge of a ploughed field and then some hilly narrow public footpaths – certainly not for anybody that is not able bodied or using motorized aids
The drive is a short 10 minutes from Travella and there is a car park for customers and a public car park just up the road approx 400 metre walk – Pay by phone app . This will be busy in High Season
I would recommend booking A table at busy times and also to let the pub know you are taking a dog – We had a great table with plenty of space for our 3 dogs and there is lots of outside space too – The food was good but the menu very small ( approx 5 items plus pizza ) and they had run out of a few things at 6.30pm – This did not bother me but it does restrict choice for others
Food and drinks are ordered at the bar – ok if 2 people – one to order one to hold the dogs but if you were dining alone you would probably need to order more than one drink at once to save getting up and down during your meal ..
The highlight of this particular walk to The Cornishman is the beautiful walk along the beach 🏖️ stunning properties flank the edges and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time watching families and dogs alike enjoying a late afternoon sunset
